Almond JOY & MOUNDS Candy Display Box "Every Bar pre sold on TV". Peter Paul led the industry in the use of network television advertising in the early 1950s, Almond JOY and Mounds Bar were “Indescribably Delicious”. Here is a 1950’s period candy store display box; 11” x 6” x 2 3/4” tall. This is a great survivor when most of these ended up in the trash. Actually meant to display the candy bars on the shelf. The lid has a dent, the size of a pencil eraser above the '“m” in Almond. It shows in the interior, but is stable and there is no loss of material. One end of the lid has loss of the printing on the words. Looks like loss due to tape removing some details. What a neat piece from the early years of TV in 1950’s America. Price: $35.00 (ref. B-808)
