BOX for a COLT “Official Police Revolver, .38 cal, 4” barrel. This is the factory box the revolver came in, pasteboard construction with Colt graphics and an end label. It is 10 ½” long x 4 3/8” deep x 1 ¾” tall and in good solid condition. There is edge wear, scuff marks and loss of gilt in the logo COLT on the lid. Inside it is in excellent condition. The original revolver’s serial number is on the bottom of the box, at the label end; “828442” in wax pencil. Based on the serial number, this BOX is for a revolver made in 1954. The “Handling the Handgun” Brochure is a trifold that is 6” x 3 ¼” closed. It has a date code on the bottom of the last page “AL 5-53”.
