This 73 page book is a readable story of the United States Marine Corps from it’s beginning in November 1775 through to the Corps engagements in World War Two through the Solomon Islands campaign. It is mostly history of the USMC in World War Two, with sketches of Corp history from it’s beginnings. The book starts with the illustration; “1943 Marine” and the Marine Corps Hymn, and a Forward by Brigadier General Robert L. Denig, U.S.M.C. It is then divided into three chapters; “ON LAND”, “AT SEA” and “IN THE AIR” There are thirteen illustrations, which are WW2 Marine action drawings; including “Marine Raider”, “Wake Island”, “Dive Bomber” and “Paratroops” among others. The last three illustrations are charts, with “Marine Corps Insignia”, “Uniforms of the Past and Present”, and “Medals and Decorations”.  This book is in very good to excellent condition.
