“U.S. GRANT WITH STAFF ON Lookout Mountain” Cabinet Card sized Photo. Photograph mounted on paper board. Image 6 1/2” wide x 4” tall. It shows General U.S. Grant, with a cigar in his mouth, standing apart from members of his staff. A soldier sits higher and apart from the group. Lookout Mountain is located in the north-west corner of Georgia, and is in Alabama, and Tennesee as well. The pencil inscription on the backer board below the images, in pencil, reads; “U.S. GRANT WITH STAFF ON LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN”.. There is no photographer signature or i.d. The backer has three very light stress cracks in the border. And a scrape in the lower right border. The image is well mounted and is in excellent condition.
