Photographic Studio Card of El Paso, Texas. Dated “Feb 22, 1882”. The bacmrking indicate it is by Francis F. Parker, who was active circa 1882 to 1890. 4 1/2 t. X 7” wide. This picture of adobe and brick buildings is taken from a taller building. Men stand next to an open square, another is standing on a side walk. Buildings and wild land are visible in the distance. A cart pulled by a burrow is headed down the main road. A similar studio card by the same photographer sold at Heritage’s Texas Sale in 2007 and brought $262.90. Upper left corner creased and flaked slightly, and all corners rounded. Nicely detailed, clear and with okay depth of field. Very good condition Price: $165.00 (ref. B-668)
