Colt’s Patent Fire Arms MFG. Company Advertising Booklet- “ROMANCE OF A COLT” 3 3/4” x 6 1/2” tall, 14 pages, paper cover.This booklet covers the history of the Colt Company through the guns it manufactured. From the 1830’s, with the Paterson pistol, through the Colt Automatic, the famous Model 1911. This booklet came in two variations. This example is a later variation, published after World War One. It shows the Colt Model 1911 Transitional Model, which was manufactured in 1923. This later publication of “ROMANCE OF A COLT” was printed through the 1930’s. Colt touts their guns as “The World’s Right Arm”. This example is in very nice condition. There is a 1 inch spline split of the cover paper, above the top staple.
