WINCHESTER VICTORY DRIVE News Broadside- WW2 Factory Newspaper. Single sided, 11 1/2” x 18” folded in quarter from the printer. This edition is dated September 9, 1942. These news broadsides were posted in the Winchester Repeating Arms Company factory at New Haven, Connecticut and also were made available to employees during World War Two. These were published to empower employees to help with the war effort. This issue asks employees to conserve machine bits, tooling and equipment. It also has an update showing Hirohito and Hitler titled “RATS START RUN FOR SEPTEMBER”, and other company news. It is in finer condition than my images suggest, the edges show toning in the image that are actually shadows. This example has always been folded and was stored this way since the war. It is in excellent condition and is solid with no tears If framed, these folds could be softened to produce a nice display of this WW2 Winchester Factory Broadside.
