German WW1 Iron Cross, 1st Class. Vaulted, made during WW2

$285.00

German WW1 Iron Cross, 1st Class. Vaulted cross. 3 piece contruction with an iron center, with a silver alloy back and surround. The back of the cross is marked “L 11” below the pin catch. This mark is for Wilhelm Deumer, of Ludensheid. The black finish on the iron is nice, with a few minor blems to the paint, still nearly 95%. There is some tarnish to the front edges, and the reverse has a silver “frosted” or “matt” finish. Being vaulted, this award has a pleasing look. This Iron Cross was produced during WW2 for soldiers who were awarded the Iron Cross First Class during WW1. It shows wonderful detailing. Price: $285.00 (ref. B-664)
