U.S. WW2 Camillus blade-dated M-3 Fighting Knife

$850.00

U.S. WW2 M-3 Camillus blade dated Fighting Knife , black parkerized finish, with light owner sharpening of the blade and the factory edge on the false edge. There is mild scabbard retention spring rub to blade flats and leading edge of the tip bevels. Blade has approx. 85-90% original black parkerized finish. The pommel is pinned from it’s sides with two pins and has a ¼” Ordnance Bomb inspection stamp boldly struck on the pommel flat. The leather handle has some minor dents and some rounding of the groove edges. The third ring from the guard has a carved groove, which was done in the knife’s period of use. The M-8 Scabbard is the first variation, which has a web belt loop but no wire belt devise. A Soldier’s id number is ink stamped on the rear of the scabbard body. Blade dated M-3’s are scarce in this condition. Camillus Cutlery Company in Camillus, New York made 404,109 M-3’s during WW2. Blade dated M-3’s were only made for a very short time. This is a nice example in very collectable condition. Price $850.00 (A6-2)
