It explains the engineering and logistics of moving the First, Ninth, and Third Armies across the Rhine and into Germany. Nicely broken down in the Table of Contents. Great history, maps and pictures of the U.S. Twelfth Army Group drive into Germany. Condition notes: The cover picture has ‘chipped loss of the picture, with greater loss at the binding. The cloth tape covering the binding is thin with frayed top and bottom. The binding is solid. The corners are slightly dog-earred. This book has been re-printed. This is the original first edition.
