Regens Cigarette Lighter w/ instruction paper & partial box, circa 1933

$38.00

Regens Fully Automatic STORMLITER Cigarette Lighter w/ instruction paper & partial box. This is an un-used example of a REGENS Stormliter in near excellent and un-used condition. It appears to be plated brass, 2 1/8” tall x 1 1/4” wide x 1/2” deep. It has minor age spots on both sides, which may polish off, as well as tarnish where it has been held in it’s display box. I always leave items as have found them, but these age marks may polish off. The petrol fuel cartridge clicks into the lighter body. The base of the cartridge is marked; “MADE IN U.S.A. PAT. NO. 1,896,140”. This patent was issued in 1933, which dates this lighter to pre-WW2. The lighter lights by squeezing the body, which levers the rear panel to pivot, opening the wick cover and striking the flint wheel against the flint. The lighter is marked; “REGENS” at the pivot point of the rear panel. This example has the original box bottom, the top is missing. Also included is the original paper instruction sheet which shows how to use this lighter featuring “single action”, as well as adverts for replacement flints and lighter fluid. The instruction paper has great graphics. Put this one to use or in your collection. Price: $38.00 (ref. B-963b)
