USMC First Marine Division Korean War Souvenir Ashtray. It commemorates the 178th Birthday of the Corps. This cast brass ashtray is 4 1/4” diameter x 3/4” tall, and weighs 6 oz. In the center is the 1st Marine Division Insignia. Around it are; “MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY” rocker at the top, “1775” and “1953” flanking, with “KOREA NOVEMBER 10th” below. The rim has three rests for cigarettes or cigars, with a Korean Dragon decorated border. The reverse is not marked, but this was produced “in country” while the 1st Marine Division was in Korea.
