New England Watch Co, Dan Patch chronograph Pocket Watch. 16s size, 1 15/16” wide x 2 11/16” bottom to bow top x 9/16” thick. The case is gold plated with an Open Face with a crisp image of the famous racehorse, DAN PATCH, on the back with his name and winning time; "DAN PATCH 1:55," It has a small inset seconds dial. The dial outer chapter is divided in fifths of seconds. The movement has a lever escapement, 7 Jewels, barred pattern NI damascene, and is serial number 17110. Considered a one-star watch, offered here in great condition. Condition notes: In running condition. The movement condition is in near mint overall; with good chronograph functions. The dial has light hair fracture from 10 to 11; with excellent hands, the blued sweep second hand. The excellent case shows hardly any wear, a few minor light scratches. There is a slight impression below the portrait on the case that does not appear on the interior, there are no other dents or dings. Dan Patch is in crisp detail.
